Ellen Muth was born and raised on March 6, 1981 in Milford, Connecticut, United States, to Dr. Erich Muth, a renowned ophthalmologist, and his wife, Rachel Muth.

She has one sibling, Karl Muth. She attended ‘Miss Barber’s Horse Racing School’. As a young girl, Ellen Muth was involved in various activities such as traveling, horseback riding and sport shooting.
