Elton John shares the last meal of a death row prisoner

Elton John may be on a strict diet right now, but that doesn’t stop him from thinking about what foods he might have if he had a short time on this Earth.

“I like all the things that are bad for me. Fried chicken, donuts,” he begins.

Elsewhere in the interview, John shared what his diet has been like since being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in the early 2000s.

John explains further: “But what I crave is chocolate and ice cream. I can’t eat ice cream.”

The “Candle in the Wind” singer revealed how he chooses his meals before performing on stage, opting for a more balanced diet to help him maintain peak fitness.

“It could be some steak and some vegetables. Just some protein and some vegetables because you can’t go on stage when you feel like you’re going to fall out. It’s very uncomfortable. That’s it. That’s it.” is a ritual,” he shared.

John’s latest comments come as he opened up about the health issues he has been facing recently.

In September, John revealed that he had suffered a “severe eye infection” that left him with “limited vision in only one eye”.
