Elton John’s health struggles have taken a toll on his life over the past year.
Talk to Good morning America on November 25, the rock legend shared that his ongoing eye illness has slowed work on his new album and left him unable to see out of one eye.
“I unfortunately lost the sight in my right eye in July because of an infection in the south of France. And for four months now I can’t see. And my left eye isn’t the best either. I can’t.” I can’t see anything, I can’t read anything, I can’t watch anything,” John said.
Despite his setbacks, John remains optimistic about his future and recovery.

John revealed that his new album is in the works, however, many songs have yet to be recorded.
“It’s been a while since I’ve done anything and I just need to get up,” he said.
In September, John revealed that he had been struggling with an eye infection that left him with “limited vision in only one eye.”
He shared the news on his Instagram account.
“Over the summer I had to deal with a serious eye infection which unfortunately left me with only limited vision in one eye. I am recovering but it is an extremely slow process and will take some time before vision returns to normal in the affected eye.” eyes,” John revealed.
He shared that he was “very grateful” to the team of doctors, nurses and family who took care of him over the “past few weeks” as he recovered from his illness.
Over the years, John has been outspoken about his health struggles and previously revealed that he had multiple parts of his body amputated.
“I don’t have tonsils, adenoids or an appendix. I don’t have a prostate. I don’t have a right hip, left knee or right knee.
