Eminem’s music video for “Somebody Save Me,” his collaboration with Jelly Roll, explores deep emotions tied to personal loss.
In the image released Wednesday, the 51-year-old rapper, whose real name is Marshall Mathers III, can be seen reviewing real-life home video footage of his life with his family.
The song, from his latest album, “The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce),” reflects on important family moments involving his brother Nate and his three children – Hailie Jade, Alaina, Stevie – who he wishes he had always been there for.
In the music video, the “Lose Yourself” rapper looks back at his children’s lives when they were young.
In one scene of the video, Eminem helplessly watches himself collapse in the bathroom, hinting at a possible drug overdose.
The Missouri-born artist then screamed hysterically at young Marshall Mathers, who was lying unconscious on the bed, trying to wake him from his deep sleep.
Jelly Roll appears several times throughout the video, giving the visuals a unique touch.
Eminem and ex-wife Kim Scott welcomed Hailie Jade, now 28, in 1995 — four years before they first married.
In the early 2000s, the couple welcomed their granddaughter Alaina, now 31, into their family through adoption.
Alaina is the daughter of Kim’s older sister Dawn, who was struggling with drug addiction at the time. Dawn died in 2016 of a suspected overdose.
During Kim’s two marriages to Eminem — from 1999 to 2001 and briefly in 2006 — she became the mother of Stevie Laine Scott in 2002 with Eric Hartter, her boyfriend at the time.
After making up, Eminem officially adopted Stevie in 2005.

Besides “Somebody Save Me”, another emotional song from Eminem’s latest album also touched the hearts of listeners: “Temporary”.
The award-winning artist openly admitted in the track that “Temporary” was “the hardest thing I’ve ever written.”
“Hailie Jade, I wrote you this song / To help you cope with life after I’m gone,” Eminem raps in the song.
Another lyric reads: “Take care of Alaina, Stevie and Uncle Nate / And baby, stay strong, I know I’m your rock.”
Eminem’s 12th album, “The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce)” has emerged as a standout addition to his impressive songwriting career.
The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, selling an impressive 281,000 equivalent copies in its first week.
