Eve Hewson was born Memphis Eve Sunny Day Iris Hewson in Dublin on July 7, 1991. She is an Irish Christian.

She is the second daughter of activist Ali Hewson (mother) and U2 frontman Paul David Hewson (father, stage name Bono).

Eve Hewson’s name is taken from the time and date of her birth; “7 July 7th at 7am”, with “Eve” being placed in the middle of the word “Seven” both numerically and alphabetically.
