Kuppusamy Annamalai (born 4 June 1984), also known as K. Annamalai IPS, is a political leader and the state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Tamil Nadu.

Early life and education
K. Annamalai IPS was born on 4 June 1984. The 40-year-old political leader hails from Sokkampatti village in Chinnatharapuram, Karur.

Career
K. Annamalai IPS is famous for his work with the police force. He was also a member of the IPS officer batch of 2011 and started his police career as an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).
A few years later, K. Annamalai IPS was promoted to the post of Superintendent of Police (SP) and he worked as an SP for a year. He was then transferred to Chikkamagaluru district of Karnataka and continued as an SP till October 2018. Years later, he was promoted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru South, in 2018.
K. Annamalai IPS is also the amiable founder of an NGO called We the Leaders Foundation (WTLF). This foundation is a non-profit organization that promotes organic farming, modern agricultural technology and other educational activities.
He was a philanthropist. He established IAS training institutes for poor and deserving candidates in Karur and Coimbatore districts.
K. Annamalai IPS is also the state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Tamil Nadu. He was nominated as the head of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Tamil Nadu by the party’s national president, JP Natta, on 8 July 2021. He formally joined the Bharatiya Janata Party on 25 August 2020.
