Fans toast Janet Jackson’s ‘Rhythm Nation’ album on 35th anniversary

Janet Jackson’s Album National Rhythm has reached a major milestone and fans are celebrating.

National Rhythm was released on September 19, 1989, meaning the album has reached its 35th anniversary milestone.

The project was a landmark album, not only for Jackson but also for music. The album is notable for its use of a variety of genres, including new jack swing, hard rock, pop, dance and industrial music, as well as heavy percussion throughout the album.
