Fantana was born on July 3, 1997, to Ghanaian parents. She was born in the United States and acquired American citizenship at birth. She grew up in Atlanta and currently lives in Georgia.
She spent her formative years in the United States before moving to her native Ghana. Fantana is from the Nzema region, which is the Western region of Ghana. Her mother is Ghanaian entrepreneur Dorcas Affo-Toffey and her father is Mr. Joseph Lawrence Ashun.
