Early life
Mrs. Fati Attahiru was born and raised in Kaduna North, Kaduna State.
She grew up to be a Super and Strong Lady. Mrs. Attahiru was married to Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru, former Chief of Army Staff (now deceased).
As the President of the Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association, 82 Division Nigerian Army, Mrs. Fati Attahiru has established a complete solar powered IT centre for the youth in the barracks.
Launched and established the Barrack Investment Initiative Program (BIIP) for six cooperatives, helping women engage in small-scale businesses.
Education
Fati Attahiru holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from the University of Leicester.
She is a recipient of the Commonwealth Chevening Scholarship and holds an MSc in Development Studies majoring in Power, Participation and Social Change from the Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex; an MSc in Information Technology from Cranfield University, UK and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Business Economics from the University of Leicester.

In her previous role as Operations and Coordination Specialist at UNDP, Fati Attahiru oversaw strategy, programming and operations for the UNDP North East programme in Nigeria.
She played a key role in co-organizing the AU-LCBC summit with the Federal Ministry of Water Resources, managing agreements between responsible parties, drafting donor progress reports, among other activities.
Often described as a passionate leader with a deep interest in economic development, Ms. Fati Attahiru has pioneered many innovative paths during her tenure.
She has built a reputation for developing business strategies and applying core values of integrity, innovation and growth, which has made her extremely successful in her previous roles at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), British High Commission in Nigeria, EDF Energy Limited UK, HSBC Bank Limited UK, etc.
