Fiona Bruce was born on April 25, 1964 in Singapore. She was raised by her parents, John Bruce and Rosemary Bruce, along with her two siblings, Alasdair Bruce and Neil Bruce.
Bruce received his early education at the International School in Rome and Haberdashers’ Aske’s Hatcham College in London. She then studied French and Italian at Hertford College, Oxford. Ethnically, Bruce is of mixed descent, having an English mother and Scottish father. She is a practicing Christian.
Career
Fiona Bruce began her career in journalism and broadcasting in 1989 when she joined the BBC as a researcher for the current affairs program Panorama. Her talent and dedication quickly took her to the higher ranks, and in 1999 she made history as the first female broadcaster on BBC News at Ten.
