Early life and education
Fumani Shilubani was born on March 22, 1980 in Shiluwana, Tzaneen, Limpopo Province, South Africa. He is 44 years old.
His parents are Clifford Shilubana (father), the headmaster of Mlungisi Primary School, and Nsatimuni Mundhlovu, a Mozambican/South African nurse at Shiluvana Hospital.
Labani Mgimeti and Kumani Shilubana are his sisters and Tebogo Maake is his brother.
Fumani Shilubana graduated from Matthews Fossa College in Mpumalanga in 1998 and subsequently enrolled at the University of Venda in 1999 to study for a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Agriculture but did not complete his studies.
In 2000, he entered the Tshwane University of Technology to study industrial engineering, but he dropped out because he wanted to study modeling in Italy. He also did not continue his studies after enrolling in a speech and drama course in South Africa.

On October 31, 2016, in Joppie Village, Fumani Shilubana paid the bride price to his now wife, Nomathemba Olivia Ngobeni.
On December 22, 2017, he and Nomathemba Olivia Ngobeni were married in a private ceremony at the Mount Grace African Pride Parade in Magaliesburg.
His first child was a son named Vulani Shilubana and his second child was a daughter named Nganakati-Nsuku Shilubana.

Fumani Shilubana is known for his work as a producer and actor in the TV series Giyani: Land of Blood, where he played the role of “Vukosi Moyo”. After the series ended, he developed and directed the series Mafanato.
Fumani Shilubana is also a regular on popular TV shows Soul City, Generations and Isidingo. On TV he often speaks in his native dialect, Xitsonga.
