For Better or Worse by Tyler Perry Brad James married actress Keshia Knight Pulliam in September 2021, giving fans another reason to love him even more. The two apparently started dating in 2019 after meeting on the set of a TV series. And so Keshia became Brad James’ first wife.

This wasn’t the big wedding Brad James and Keshia Pulliam had originally planned. Instead, it was “intimate, quirky, filled with love, laughter, and joy… Absolutely perfect!!” Brad’s first and likely only wife later gushed about it.

Not new to the dating game, Brad dated quite a few people before deciding to choose Keshia as his wife.

He was romantically linked to TLC singer and ex-girlfriend Rozonda Chilli Thomas in 2015. Despite the age gap, his relationship with her was so strong that he even attended her son’s high school graduation. But, of course, the relationship ended in 2016 and the couple never really spoke about it.

Before Chilli, Brad had only had a sincere relationship with Jasmine Burke. But even she did not become his wife.

The world also saw Brad James and his wife Keisha announce their pregnancy news in late 2022. During an appearance on the Tamron Hall Show, Keisha shared that she made no secret of the news that they were expecting their first child.

This is certainly not Keisha’s first time becoming a parent, however. She has a daughter (Ella) with her ex-husband, retired NFL player Edgerton “Ed” Hartwell. They were married from January 2016 to 2018.

As for Brad, he also mentioned having four daughters. He called “Babydoll” and “Ellaboo” two of his four daughters.

Ellaboo is likely Ella Grace Pulliam, Keisha’s daughter and his stepdaughter. Born in January 2018, Ella would have turned 5 in 2023. She even has her own Instagram account, where she claims to like “dolls, roasted marshmallows, and family.” The account is, of course, managed by her mother.

Keisha previously spoke about her struggles to raise her family in the documentary Eggs Over Easy: Black Women and Fertility.

How did Brad James and Keshia Pulliam meet?

Keisha first announced that she and Brad were engaged in December 2020. When ET spoke to her the following September, she opened up about meeting Brad on the set of the TV series. Pride and Prejudice: Atlanta and started dating soon after. While working on the same scene, she says, they just clicked. It wasn’t something either of them were looking for, she shares. But, because they were both ready and in the right place in their lives, things blossomed into what they are today.
