Gregory Jackson II began his basketball career at Ridge View High School in South Carolina. As a sophomore, he averaged 15.8 points and 10 rebounds per game and led Ridge View to the South Carolina Class 5A State Championship.
His junior season was even more dominant. He averaged 22.1 points, 10.9 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game and led the team to its second consecutive state championship.
