Giuseppe Dell’Anno Family
Giuseppe Dell’Anno comes from an Italian family. His father was a professional chef in Milan and he was born and raised in Milan, surrounded by food and people who cooked. It was his father who inspired him to become a baker. His father baked fresh bread for his family on Sundays.
Giuseppe also draws his baking style from Italy, with a lot of Italian flavors in it. Additionally, Giuseppe is fluent in three languages, his native Italian, English, and French.
Not much is known about his family.

Giuseppe Dell’Anno’s work
Baking is Giuseppe’s hobby and passion, his real profession is engineering. He is the Chief Engineer for the National Composites Centre. He has worked for NCC for over 8 years. Before being promoted to Chief Engineer, Giuseppe worked as a Technical Capability Manager, Technical Capability Leader and Research Engineer for the company.
Regarding NCC, it is said that the school uses “cutting-edge technology to help solve complex engineering challenges”.
Interestingly, NCC is part of High-Value Manufacturing Catapult, a company where the winner of the 2018 season, Rahul Mandal, works. Giuseppe is a good friend of Rahul.
Giuseppe has also previously taught as a visiting lecturer and research fellow at Cranfield University, where he obtained his PhD and worked as a research assistant during his studies.
Giuseppe Dell’Anno’s wife
Giuseppe Dell’Anno is a married father of three. He has three sons, whose names are unknown, who all love baking like him. In September 2021, Giuseppe shared a photo of crostata cookies made by his sons with the caption:
The kids baked shortbread cookies with freshly picked blackberries. They were ugly, lumpy, and uneven. Definitely not #gbbo standards! But they couldn’t have been sweeter… This is what baking is all about!
There’s not much information about his wife. No name, no picture, nothing but a cursory mention of her on his Instagram. A September 15 Instagram post, a photo of him swirling dough into a bowl, was captioned, “Things you can only do when your wife isn’t there to check how much dough you spilled on the floor…”
We may not know his wife and know very little about his children, but the important thing is that Giuseppe had a wonderful family.
