Greyhill Incident Ending
The Greyhill Incident is a game where the player, controlling Ryan Baker, tries to rescue his son who has been abducted by aliens. The game takes place in a small town and involves tasks like collecting tin foil to protect against alien mind reading and finding nails to board up windows. The aliens, described as thin and grey, are difficult to spot but relentless in their pursuit.
As the player progresses through the game, they must navigate the town at night, staying hidden from the aliens and evading capture. The aliens have a disturbing presence and their actions, combined with eerie visuals and atmospheric music, create a sense of fear and tension. The player can hide in various objects like cabinets or trash cans, but the aliens are persistent and hard to shake off.
While The Greyhill Incident is primarily a horror game, it incorporates elements of humor and references to alien culture. There are jokes related to alien probes and characters resembling Matthew McConaughey during his “True Detective” phase. These lighter moments add some relief to the overall intense and fear-inducing gameplay.
In terms of gameplay mechanics, the AI of the aliens is intelligent and unpredictable. After being caught and sent back to a checkpoint, the aliens may have changed their positions, making it difficult to anticipate their movements. The aliens can spot the player character from a distance, and their pursuit is relentless. The game provides a challenging and realistic experience, although some players may find it frustrating to repeat hiding and evasion sequences.
However, based on the premise of the game, the objective is to rescue Ryan Baker’s abducted son from the UFO. Presumably, the player must navigate through increasingly difficult challenges, gather resources, and find a way to confront the aliens and save Ryan’s son.
It is likely that the ending of the game involves a climactic encounter with the aliens and a resolution to the storyline. However, without further details or specific information about the game’s ending, it is not possible to provide a detailed description of the conclusion. The ending could potentially involve a confrontation with the aliens, a dramatic rescue, or even an unexpected twist.

Greyhill Incident Review
People were captivated by rumors, alleged eyewitness accounts, and government cover-up theories. Fast forward to the present day, and the UFO (or UAP) phenomenon is once again in the public spotlight, with unredacted evidence of unidentified aircraft appearing over the years.
Greyhill Incident puts you in the shoes of a local resident named Ryan in the rural town of Greyhill. Strange events unfold one night near your home, prompting you to investigate.
Along the way, you meet Bob, the town’s resident expert on alien conspiracies, and together you witness a flying saucer descending into a cornfield, followed by the emergence of slender alien figures. The aliens begin abducting people and causing chaos throughout the town, leaving it up to Ryan to navigate the streets, bushes, and cornfields of Greyhill in an attempt to find and save his friends.
Although this premise seems thrilling and horrifying, Greyhill Incident fails to deliver on that promise. This review focuses on the “Abducted Edition” of the game specifically for the PS5.
You will explore the game world from a first-person perspective. You come across a wind-up flashlight that is mostly ineffective since it quickly alerts aliens to your presence. Additionally, you find a police revolver for self-defense, but ammunition is scarce and hard to find.
You’ll be lucky to come across even two rounds lying on a table in a house, as they blend in with the dark objects. The primary alternative weapon is a baseball bat, inspired by the movie “Signs,” but it proves to be disappointingly ineffective.
One of the most frustrating aspects of the game is its heavy emphasis on stealth, exacerbated by the frustrating stealth mechanics. Aliens spot you easily, and they move faster than you do. Sprinting drains your stamina, and although you might be able to escape or hide, the aliens often discover you, even when you’re concealed in a garbage can or an outhouse.
When attempting to strike an alien with the bat, there is a noticeable lag in the controller response. You have to time your swings slightly ahead of the alien’s approach to knock them down temporarily. However, swinging the bat is slow, taking nearly eight seconds to complete three swings required to incapacitate an alien temporarily.
During the time you wait for your swings to connect, you must frantically maneuver around the alien to avoid being captured. Performing three slow swings drains Ryan’s stamina significantly, preventing you from sprinting after knocking down an alien.
Inevitably, the alien recovers quickly and walks back toward you, restarting the whole dance. If an alien manages to grab you repeatedly in quick succession, it results in an instant game over. However, if you’re fortunate enough to have at least two bullets, shooting an alien in the head will kill it.
The game’s tutorialization is minimal, leaving players with vague instructions and no directional indicators or cues to guide them. You might find yourself wandering aimlessly and fending off frustrating alien encounters while trying to figure out which way to go. To make matters worse, Greyhill is enveloped in a fog that makes it extremely challenging to see.
The flashlight would be helpful, if not for the risk of attracting alien attention. As an indie title, Greyhill Incident can be forgiven for its lackluster visual presentation, rigid character models, poor animation, and campy voice acting.
However, the dialogue and narrative are cringe-inducing at best. The non-player characters (NPCs) embody clichéd archetypes from classic alien invasion films, including the town’s eccentric conspiracy theorist wearing a tinfoil hat in his RV and the NPC whose house is covered in alien-related decorations.
The aliens’ purpose in abducting humans is primarily experimentation, involving the infamous trope of “butt-probing.” Bloody probes are scattered throughout the game, accompanied by the terrorized cries of the victims. The entire experience relies heavily on these classic alien invasion tropes and stereotypical character portrayals, which ends up being more laughable than terrifying.
By the end of the game, you might start to feel some investment in Ryan and his mission to save his friends. However, the story’s conclusion is unsatisfying, leaving multiple loose ends without any resolution. It feels as though a sequel was intended, despite the game’s shortcomings. Speaking of the ending, despite the frustratingly slow, robotic, and aimless gameplay, managing to complete the game and see the credits after just two hours.
Perhaps the game’s only redeeming quality is its premature ending. Nonetheless, considering the price of the game, it offers very little content—scarcely more than what one would expect from add-ons, DLCs, or expansion packs in other games.
Greyhill Incident ultimately feels like an underwhelming attempt to emulate classic films like “Close Encounters of the Third Kind.” While the concept is not inherently bad, this particular game suffers from frustrating and undeveloped gameplay, weak character and story development, and visually murky and poorly illuminated environments. You’d be better off making your own tin foil hat and watching UFO documentaries instead.

Greyhill Incident Ps5
Greyhill Incident for PS5 presents a disappointing experience. The PlayStation Store is filled with low-quality games that attempt to imitate 80s classics, often featuring manga-style or gory cover art to mask their basic gameplay. However, Greyhill Incident stands out as a particularly subpar game, even when compared to other indie horror titles.
The game promises a unique survival horror experience centered around alien abductions in the small town of Greyhill. While the premise initially piques interest, the execution falls short. The game’s dialogue and line delivery are lackluster, resembling amateur performances that detract from the immersion. The visuals and atmosphere make a decent first impression, with the protagonist’s home and the gloomy surroundings capturing some intrigue. However, these highlights are overshadowed by sloppy storytelling and a lack of depth.
In terms of gameplay, Greyhill Incident fails to deliver satisfying mechanics. The rechargeable flashlight, intended as a useful tool, proves to be ineffective throughout the game. Whether engaging in stealth sections or combat with aliens, the gameplay is described as frustrating and unpleasant.
The structure and signposting also leave much to be desired, causing unnecessary ambiguity in stealth and exploration. Combat lacks impact, and the poorly animated death sequences of the aliens diminish any sense of satisfaction.
Overall, Greyhill Incident for PS5 falls short of expectations. While the developers may not have intended for such high anticipation, the game still fails to deliver an enjoyable experience.
There are numerous indie horror games available that surpass Greyhill Incident in terms of quality and execution. However, it’s possible that with time and learning from their mistakes, the development team may come back with a more accomplished project in the future.
