Guillermo Héctor Francella was born on February 14, 1955 in Paso de los Toros, Tacuarembó, Uruguay. He is the son of Ricardo Héctor Francella, banker, physical education teacher and weightlifting coach at Racing Club, and Adelina Redondo.
