Gunna’s lawyer insists he was not critical in YSL RICO trial: ‘Gunna was NOT cooperative’

Gunna’s lawyer is setting the record straight on rumors that his client criticized during the YSL Rico high-profile trial.

Attorney Steve Sadow took to Twitter, now known as X, on Friday to clarify the matter after it was reported that Young Thug appeared to criticize Gunna in a rap, according to sport.

Fiery artists including Lil Baby, Lil Durk and Young Thug himself – who was released on October 23 after pleading guilty to several charges – went on record calling Gunna “a rat”.

Now, Sadow is speaking out about what has the potential to become a difficult situation. “I am Gunna’s attorney but I do NOT speak on his behalf,” the attorney began in his lengthy post.

I am Gunna’s attorney but I do NOT speak on his behalf. This long article is only intended to present the facts. Gunna cooperated NOTHING, did NOTHING and said NOTHING to harm Thug’s case. He spent eight months in prison and was released in December 2022 after entering Alford…

“This long post is only intended to point out the truth. Gunna cooperated NOTHING, did NOTHING and said NOTHING that harmed Thug’s case. He served 8 months in jail and was released in December 2022 after filing Alford’s defense. Gunna’s defense could not and was not used at Thug’s trial and he was never even named as a witness,” he wrote.

“He received a 5-year suspended sentence, no reporting, no travel restrictions, no living restrictions AND NO MANAGEMENT. Over the past two years, according to media reports, he has performed all over world, achieving international fame and recognition, and earning millions of dollars.

“In contrast, Thug went to trial and ultimately pleaded guilty and nolo after 30 months in prison, received 15 years of probation, came with reporting conditions, and was not even allowed to live in Atlanta. PEOPLE HAVE AND CONTINUE GUNNA BAD MOUTH, GET OVER IT. NUFF’ SAID,” the lawyer exclaimed in conclusion.

On January 2, Young Thug — real name Jeffery Lamar Williams — shared a snippet of new music in a now-deleted story post on Instagram, which included lyrics that read:Never play with a mouse/Go get some money, get a pack.”

Sadow went on to make an additional comment hours later, doubling down on the veracity of the situation. “Love the street rules and inaccurate comments. Oh fake outrage, still the same.”

Love the street rules and dry comments. Oh fake outrage, still the same. Both were charged with RICO. Both face up to 20 years in prison. Both are committed to RICO. Regardless, I’m willing to accept the blame for this huge problem.

The attorney concluded: “Both are charged with RICO. Both face up to 20 years in prison. Both pled guilty to RICO. Regardless, I am willing to accept responsibility for this major matter” .
