Early life and education
Hariprasad Swamiji (89 years old as of 2023) was born on 23 May 1934, in the small village of Asoj in Salvi district near Vadodara.
Coming from a family steeped in the Vaishnava tradition, he grew up immersed in religious rituals. His parents, Gopaldas and Kashiba, raised him with strong spiritual values.
Although details about his childhood life are scarce, it is known that he had an older sister whose name has not been revealed.
Swamiji completed his primary education in Asoj before moving to Anand, Gujarat, where he continued his education at Sharda-Mandir School.
He pursued higher education at NV College of Science in Vallabh-Vidyanagar, where he completed his interdisciplinary studies in science.
Swamiji spent his evenings performing religious activities at temples throughout his studies. He developed a deep reverence for the Hindu holy book, the Bhagwat Gita, studying it 24 times, each edition written by a different author.

Hariprasad Swamiji lived a celibate life and did not marry or have children. He focused completely on his spiritual path, guiding his followers and serving society selflessly.

Career
Swamiji’s spiritual journey began in 1953 when he first met Yogiji Maharaj in Revandas’ Khadaki. He immediately felt a deep connection with Maharaj and considered him his Guru.
Swamiji spent many years learning from Maharaj and was involved in various services such as cleaning, cooking and temple maintenance. Over time, he gained extensive knowledge and was responsible for 18 different departments of the temple.
In 1961, Swamiji became Yogiji Maharaj’s secretary and held this role until 1965. During this time, he honed his administrative skills and expanded his spiritual understanding.
Maharaj formally initiated Swamiji into the sect in 1955, bestowing upon him the name “Sadhu Hariprasaddas.“Swamiji’s devotion and devotion led to the founding of the Atmiya Samaj, further spreading the message of love, unity and spirituality.

Swamiji’s body was kept at the Swaminarayan Temple compound in Sokhda for four days, so that his followers and devotees could visit and pay their last respects.
The final rituals were performed according to Hindu tradition on August 1.
