Taylor Swift has reportedly laughed off a viral social media hoax falsely claiming she is breaking up with boyfriend Travis Kelce.
The insider spoke to the Daily Mail on Wednesday, revealing the Grammy-winning artist’s reaction after learning about the leaked contract regarding her relationship with the NFL player.
An unnamed source said Swift found the situation quite funny and she and her team decided not to respond to the viral hoax.
“Taylor was unfazed and quite amused by this. She doesn’t usually take these things to heart, but this is a funny fact about AI,” the source told the Daily Mail, adding, “It wasn’t even worth her or her team’s real reaction.”
But while Taylor and her company are unlikely to release a statement in response to the hoax, she and her boyfriend are said to have laughed about it.
“She and Travis had a lot of laughs about it,” the source said.
Speculation about their supposed public relations relationship arose earlier this week after a fake “contract” with Kelce’s public relations firm Full Scope circulated online, gaining traction on Reddit and other social media platforms.
Titled “Travis Kelce’s Comprehensive Public Relations Plan Following Breakup With Taylor Swift,” the document claims that the Kansas City Chiefs player and the “Anti-Hero” hitmaker are planning to announce their split on September 28.

Shortly after the document was leaked, a spokesperson for Kelce’s public relations firm issued a statement saying the document was “completely false and fabricated.” [and] not created, issued, or authorized by this agency.”
The spokesperson added that they are looking to take legal action against the individuals or organizations behind this viral hoax.
Meanwhile, one of the Daily Mail’s sources also noted that Travis and his team only hired lawyers “because his public relations firm was listed in the documents.”
However, like his girlfriend, the NFL player isn’t taking the alleged breakup plans seriously. The couple are reportedly planning something “super special and fun” for their supposed “breakup day” on September 28 to commemorate the hoax.
“Coincidentally, September 28 is the day of the first NFL game of the season and also National Beer Day, so it’s definitely a great date night,” the insider said.
Another proof that the couple isn’t letting this viral material affect their relationship is Swift’s presence at Kelce’s first game of the season for the Kansas City Chiefs this Thursday, according to Perez Hilton.
The “Cruel Summer” hitmaker is taking a break from her world tour until mid-October, so she may be more present during the soccer season to show support for her boyfriend.
