‘How could he do that to his family?’

Ed Sheeran’s cousin Jethro, better known by his stage name Alonestar, has found himself in a difficult situation after receiving a legal warning from the singer’s record label, Warner Music.

The issue arose when Jethro promoted a song titled “Raise Em Up”, which he and Ed had collaborated on in 2010.

The 42-year-old musician is also said to be preparing to release 21 remixed songs on his Spotify.

The Sun reports that record label executives have sent a legal notice to the “Shape of You” singer’s cousin.

The record label reportedly asked Jethro to remove Ed’s name and image from promotional artwork related to upcoming releases.

In response to the request, Jethro reportedly complied. However, the photo remains on Jethro’s official Instagram page to prevent potential legal action from individuals involved in his famous cousin’s career.

In a recent interview, he expressed his frustration and revealed that even his legal team was caught off guard by the demands.

“I’m extremely disappointed in him,” the former model told the newspaper.

“Even my lawyer was shocked that he could do that to my family. But it’s okay, I’m fine and working on my new album.”

However, he has one wish for Ed: “I wish him the best, just stay away from me.”
