The sleeping table in Persona 3 Portable
In Persona 3 Portable, the Sleeping Table is a formidable opponent located on the 135th floor of the Tziah Block of Hell. To take on this tough enemy, it is recommended to assemble a well-prepared team. The recommended team for this battle includes Yukari, Junpei, and Ken. Yukari plays a vital role as a healer, not only restoring HP, but also using Me Patra to dispel fear. Controlling fear is important, as the Sleeping Table has a combo that inflicts fear and then uses Ghastly Wail, instantly knocking out the feared teammate.
Junpei and Ken are known for their resistance to light magic. The Sleeping Table often tries to kill with Hamaon, and having team members resist this magic helps avoid losing teammates early in the battle. Junpei can also increase the team’s resistance to the Sleeping Table’s attacks, while Ken learns Mediarama at level 37 to keep the team’s HP in good shape along with Yukari.
It is recommended to reach around level 45 before fighting the Sleeping Table (level 50 Shadow). It is crucial to have the right characters ready. Look for characters that are resistant or immune to fire and/or light magic. Bringing Saki Mitama (resistant to fire and strong in healing) can be helpful.
The protagonist and Yukari can focus on healing, while Junpei and Ken can deal damage. Remember that if the protagonist goes down, the battle ends immediately, so it is a wise precaution to prepare some Homunculus items to prevent instant kills from Light or Dark. However, be careful if using Saki Mitama, as it lacks immunity to Blessing attacks and is susceptible to one-hit kills from Hamaon.
How to defeat the Sleeping Table in Persona 3 Portable?
To defeat the Sleeping Table in Persona 3 Portable, you need to be careful of its powerful moves. The main threat is a combination of casting X and using Ghastly Wail, which can instantly knock out anyone who is scared. Use Me Patra or something similar to act fast and remove the fear immediately.
Another challenge is a versatile move called Megidola, which is very difficult to block. The best way to minimize the damage caused by Megidola is to buff your team’s defenses and heal immediately after the attack.
Even though Junpei’s attacks may not do much damage, it’s still recommended to keep him in the fight. He has a higher chance of landing a critical hit, which can trigger a full-strength attack for your team. This full-strength attack can drain a large amount of the Sleeping Table’s health in one go, so take advantage of this opportunity.
To exploit the Sleeping Table’s vulnerability to critical hits, consider bringing a Persona with the Revolution ability. This move increases the critical hit rate of everyone on the field, including the Sleeping Table. Be careful though, as enemies will also benefit from this boost, so increase your team’s defense accordingly. You’ll likely spend a lot of time healing during the fight. Make sure your team stays in good shape, balancing offense and defense, and you’ll eventually triumph over this tough guardian.
