Ancient Armor in Children of the Forest
In the game “Children of the Forest”, ancient armor, formerly known as golden armor, is a vital item for players. Unlike other segmented armor, it provides comprehensive protection and does not degrade with use, making it a permanent asset. Although it’s called armor, it functions more like an outfit, replacing whatever armor the player currently has equipped.

To obtain the Ancient Armor, players will need to delve deep into the Cult Cave, which is located near a lake to the southwest or east of the mountain. Once inside, the armor significantly reduces demonic damage by 70%, making encounters with demons much more manageable. It also provides 30% damage resistance to cannibals and other mutants.
Interestingly, the Ancient Armor is the key that opens the door to the magma cave inside the eastern bunker. This aspect hints at the potential contextual impact of future updates to the game. Additionally, when Ancient Armor is equipped, any existing armor worn by the player will be replaced and stored in their inventory.
Obtaining Ancient Armor is crucial for players to progress in Children of the Forest. Its durability, unique protective abilities, and role as a key item in unlocking certain areas make it a highly sought-after asset in the gaming world.
