He was born in Okpai Oluchi community in Delta State. He grew up in the same town and hails from Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta State. His formative years were spent in his family home and schooling in his home community.
Hsure comes from a middle-class family of seven. He has four siblings; three sisters and one brother. His parents, who are businessmen, made sure that Hsure and his siblings did not lack any good things.
Throughout his childhood and teenage years, he enjoyed listening to the sounds of Nigerian artists, which helped nurture his love for music and spur him to pursue a professional career in the field. He is influenced by artists such as Timaya, 2Baba, P-Square, Olu Maintain, D’Banj, Wande Coal, Wizkid, Davido, among others.
Education
Hsure’s middle-class background afforded him the opportunity to enjoy quality education from his early years through adulthood.
He attended selected private schools for kindergarten, elementary and secondary school.
He graduated from high school in 2016 with high scores in the Senior Secondary School Leaving Examination (SSCE).
He is currently a student at a prestigious university in Southern Nigeria.
Career
Hsure’s musical journey can be traced back to the age of 13, when he started composing songs in the comfort of his parents’ home. Starting out by writing lyrics in his notebook, he went on to delight his parents and friends in the neighborhood with his songs and also showcased his talent through performances at school events.
By the time he graduated from high school, he had become one of the most creative students in his school. And many of his classmates believed that he would be successful in this field in the future.
Based on his dreams and the motivation of those close to him, Hsure decided to start recording his songs. And this brought him to a few music producers in his community where he recorded a few tracks.
For several years, he recorded music and released it to the public. Although the songs were successful locally, cementing his status as a unique artist, he did not achieve the traction he desired. But he did not let this affect him and focused more on refining his sound and patiently waiting for his moment to come.
In 2021, Hsure found gold in the industry and became a nationally recognized music phenomenon. This victory came after he released his official debut project, a 6-track EP called Proclivity.
The project, which has a total listening time of over eighteen minutes, includes the singles – God Abeg, Tattoo, Untitled, Proclivity, Banging and Woman. Proclivity has received heavy airplay on several radio stations in the country. The EP’s lead single and opening track, Proclivity, is the most successful track on the project. As such, he has several works in progress that will be released soon.
