Darius Rucker of Hootie and Blowfish fame didn’t let an embarrassing fall get him down.

The country singer-turned-rocker was performing on stage on October 10 at the annual Riverfront Revival concert in Charleston, South Carolina when his fall was captured on video.

While singing his solo hit “Alright” from 2008, Rucker slipped and fell. Miraculously, he continued to sing despite his accident. However, he needed the help of security forces to get back on his feet.
He was amused about it and chuckled before addressing the crowd.

“I’m old,” he declared after the incident.
Before the song ended, he turned to keyboard player Lee Turner and pointed out where he stumbled.
“We’ve been doing this all summer,” Rucker added. I have never fallen once. But I failed like in my homeland.”
Hootie & the Blowfish just wrapped up a 43-city tour that began in May and ended in September.
The band is known for hits such as “Hold My Hand”, “Let Her Cry” and “Only Wanna Be with You”. The group would achieve their greatest success with their 1994 album The back is crackedwent on to receive Diamond status from the Recording Industry Association of America for selling over 10 million copies domestically.

In 2008, Rucker began a solo career and turned to country music. His biggest solo hit came in 2013 with the song “Wagon Wheel”, which was also certified Diamond by the RIAA.
Rucker isn’t the only star to fall on stage as Olivia Rodrigo recently fell while she was performing on her Guts world tour in Melbourne, on October 14.
“Oh my God, it’s so fun, I’m fine!” Rodrigo replied.
“Wow, sometimes there’s just a hole in the stage. It’s okay!” she added.
