‘I tried to use misinformation in a disruptive way’

Lady Gaga has deliberately decided not to respond to rumors that she is a man, as she believes it is not beneficial to anyone involved.

The singer explained why she avoided answering questions about the rumor during the early stages of her career in the early 2010s.

On a recent episode of Bill Gates’ latest Netflix show, “What’s Next? The Future with Bill Gates,” Lady Gaga explained her decision not to answer the question by saying that she doesn’t consider herself a victim in the situation.

“The reason I didn’t answer the question is because I didn’t feel like I was a victim of that lie,” the pop star said.

“But I thought about, if a child was accused of such a thing, what would that child think that a public figure like me would feel ashamed of.”

The “Poker Face” hitmaker has clarified that the speculation stems from an edited photo of her circulating on the internet.

The “A Star Is Born” actress explained, “There was a picture on the internet that was edited and they said, ‘You know, there’s a rumor that you’re a man. Do you have anything to say about that?'”

In her journey to stardom, the 38-year-old actress has tried to change the plot to answer a specific question.

Gaga told Gates, “I’ve been in situations where correcting rumors isn’t the best thing to do — I’m thinking about other people’s happiness.”

“So in that case, I was trying to provoke thought and be disruptive in a different way. I was trying to use misinformation to create another point of disruption.”

In a 2011 interview with Anderson Cooper, the “Just Dance” singer cleverly avoided answering a specific question.

Gaga, then 24, said: “Why would I waste my time and put out a press release about whether I have a penis or not?”

She added, “My fans don’t care and neither do I.”

During the same chat with Cooper, Gaga playfully responded to speculation surrounding her alleged possession of “male appendages,” joking, “Maybe I do. Is it that terrible?”

In support, fans poured praise on the actress-singer as her remarks following the interview clip with Gates went viral on social media on Wednesday.

@DemauxSOL said on X, “Lady Gaga deserves more respect.”

@allurequinn tweeted, “This is why she will always be MOTHER like you can never make me hate her.”

“What an elegant way to handle it. So thoughtful,” praised @NeonBear007, while @onlymandyrosee also wrote, “her lyrics ‘don’t be a slob, be a queen’ now have more depth; she truly is a QUEEN.”
