Inside Chappell Roan’s Slow-Burn Chart and Streaming Success

Chappell Roan’s rapid success and rise to fame can be seen in her numbers and figures on charts and streaming platforms.

Billboard reports that Roan’s numbers have increased greatly since she released her album, The Rise and Fall of a Midwestern Princessto her performance at Coachella and even to this day.

The publication reported that Roan’s full catalog has only had about 3 million weekly streams since she released the album in September 2023. However, her listenership increased after she opens Olivia Rodrigo’s Guts World Tour from February to April.

Today, Roan’s entire catalog has grown to 68.36 million weekly streams. Her new single, “Good Luck, Babe,” which isn’t part of her album, has increased her listenership.

“Good Luck!” is currently her highest-charting single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart at number 16.

As for her album, The rise and fall of a Midwestern princesswhen it debuted with a meager 7,000 album units in September 2023, it ranked just #3 on the Heatseekers Albums chart. Only after she completed opening for Rodrigo in April 2023 did she enter the Billboard 200 albums chart, debuting at number 127 with over 9,000 units.

As of this writing, the album has sold 423,000 album units, currently ranking at number 8 on the Billboard 200 album chart. Likewise, her album also entered the Top 10 Best-Selling Albums, with a total of 55,000 copies sold since its release in September 2023.

Roan’s most impressive achievement to date, however, is having four Hot 100 hits at once. Currently, “Good Luck, Baby!” is at No. 16 on the Billboard Hot 100, followed by “Red Wine Supernova” at No. 54 and “Hot to Go!” at No. 55. Meanwhile, “Pink Pony Club” is at No. 90.

Meanwhile, Roan reflects on her recent success, overwhelmed by the support and rapid popularity.

Taking the stage at the Red Hat Amphitheatre in North Carolina, where she performed her unreleased song “The Subway,” Roan took the mic and shared her candid thoughts.

“I just want to be honest with everyone. I’m feeling a little bit off today, because I think my career is moving so fast and it’s hard to keep up. I’m just being honest, I’m having a hard time today,” Roan said, fighting back tears.
