Lil Uzi Vert has teased the arrival of his next project, Eternal Atake 2, which fans are highly anticipating.
This morning, the Philadelphia native tweeted a link to his latest song called “Uzi The Earthling (TV Show Theme),” raising even more questions about what this means for with the release of the album.
The 29-second tune was released on October 23 and has a nostalgic feel like something out of a cookie-cutter sitcom that opened in the ’50s or ’60s.
A gentle tune with lyrics sung by a woman: “This is the story of a boy named Uzi/Who was famous for his diamonds and his style/From the road to the stage, the boy busy/Making music that makes you smile/Lil Uzi Vert he’s the one who sees/Bringing joy to you and me.”
Following the release of Uzi’s new single earlier today, fans were quick to point out that the cover art includes the letter “E”, “A” and the number 2, sparking speculation about a sequel to the album Uzi’s acclaimed 2020 Eternal Atake.
Fans also noticed that all of Uzi’s album covers have been changed to the Eternal Atake logo on Apple Music. XXL Mag also stated that the album launch appears to be officially underway, with even thousands of fans on standby.
This speculation comes after the artist has been relatively quiet since recently reactivating his Twitter account.
Other social media users shared their excitement, with one fan tweeting: “Lil Uzi Vert changed all of Apple Music for Eternal Atake 2 – now it’s live.”
Besides his new single, various reports have claimed that Eternal Atake 2 will be released within a few months – however there is no specific date yet.
Lil Uzi Vert returned after a brief absence from social media before breaking Billboard 200 history in 2023 with his final album, Pink Tape, which was the first rap album to reach No.1. He also introduced a mixtape called Barter 16 but later abandoned that project after a series of leaks.
Meanwhile, Uzi has also hinted at a potential final project called Luv Is Rage 3.
