‘It’s a real American song’

Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us” became one of the year’s biggest hits and has a surprising fan — Donald Trump.

Taking to his social media page Truth Social on November 10, Trump shared that he loved the song and praised it as a “True American Song.”

“Start your day listening to ‘Not Like Us’ by Kendrick Lamar. I love this song! A true American song. I’ve listened to this song many times,” he began in his post.

The President-elect went on to share how he learned about this song and credited his team with this discovery.

“I heard my team sing that after I won and I thought, ‘Wow, that’s a great song,’” Trump continued.

He seemed to go on to point out that Drake is also from Canada, as “Not Like Us” is part of the ongoing feud between Lamar and Drake.

“It’s funny how Canadians think they’re better than us,” he concluded. Actually that’s not the case! Canada is collapsing in on itself – and it’s because of this song.”

Drake and Lamar saw their feud escalate after Lamar released the song “Like That” earlier this year in response to Drake’s song “First Person Shooting” from last year, where it was said that J. Cole, Lamar and Drake are the three big guys in rap music.

Since releasing the songs, both Drake and Lamar have made major changes in the past year as Drake released the songs “Push Ups” and “Taylor Made Freestyle”, while Lamar released “Euphoria” and “6:16 in LA” before reaching its climax. on the release of “Not Like Us.”

On the track, Lamar accused Drake of pedophilia and being an “invader” of the rap music industry. Drake has since denied the allegations about “The Heart Part 6.”

“Not Like Us” became the most successful of the diss tracks, reaching number 1 on the charts Billboard Hot 100 chart and was nominated for multiple Grammy awards, including Record and Song of the Year.
