Early life
Jeff Preston Jorgensen Bezos was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on January 12, 1964, the son of Jacklyn (née Gise) and Theodore Jorgensen. His biological great-grandfather was John Jorgensen.
When Jeff Bezos was born, his mother was a 17-year-old high school student. While raising Jeffrey, his mother (Jacklyn) went to school at night.
Jeffrey’s mother divorced his father and married Mike Bezos in 1968. Not long after marrying Mike, Jeffrey’s last name was changed to Bezos.
Jeff Bezos showed his passion for science and technology, once installing an electric alarm to chase his younger siblings out of the room.
Since then, he showcased his career on many different occasions.
Education
Jeff Bezos attended River Oaks Elementary School in Houston from 4th to 6th grade.
His family moved to Miami, Florida where he attended Miami Palmetto High School. He attended the science student training program at the University of Florida and graduated as a National Merit Scholar.
Career
After Jeff Bezos graduated from college in 1986, he was offered jobs at Intel, Bell Labs and Andersen Consulting, among other companies.
First, he had the opportunity to work at Fitel, a fintech telecommunications startup, where he was tasked with building an international business transaction network.
Due to his performance in the given field, he was promoted immediately to development manager and customer service manager. He entered the banking industry as a product manager at Bankers Trust, which provided his services from 1988 to 1990.
In an effort to become a greater person, he joined DE Shaw & Co, one of the newly established hedge funds with a strong mathematical modeling role. The script took place in 1990 and he worked with them until 1994.
Since Jeff Bezos is a man full of dreams and always focused on achieving his achievements, he is considered one of the most respectable people, leading to his appointment as Vice President of the company famous. He was only 30 years old when he participated in this feat.
