However, he uses the stage name Buddy Valastro. He is the owner and director of Carlo’s Bakery, a company with eighteen branches across the United States and Brazil.

He is a notable television personality and rose to international fame after appearing on the baking show Cake Boss in 2009.

He also appeared on other culinary shows such as Next Great Baker, Kitchen Boss, Bake You Rich and Bakery Boss.

Early life

Buddy Valastro’s journey into baking was no accident. In fact, it was predestined. That’s because he was born into a family of bakers. His father, Bartolo Valastro Sr., was the founder of Carlo’s Bakery. His parents were first-generation Italian-Americans born in their native Italy before immigrating to the United States.
