Lisa Hogan was born in Dublin, Ireland, her mother is Irish and her father is Italian. Young Lisa Hogan developed an interest in acting from an early age. She was born on May 28, 1972. Her father is Maurice Hogan and her mother is Arlene Underwood. She also has a sister named Aoibhne Hogan and a stepfather named Raymond Keaveney.
Her high school drama teacher encouraged her to apply for a scholarship to study at a prestigious drama program outside London, and in 1996, at the age of 18, she was accepted into London’s Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA).
During her first year at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, Lisa Hogan worked as a receptionist during the summer holidays to pay for her studies. That same year, she starred in two independent films in her hometown of Ireland, which led to more job opportunities after graduation.
