James Ikechukwu Esomugha Okolue (born September 25, 1976), better known by his stage name Jim Iyke, is a Nigerian actor, musician and television personality.
He is one of the stars of the movie “Last Flight to Abuja”, which also stars Omotola Jalade Ekinde and Hakeem Kay-Kazim.

Early life and education
Jim Iyke was born on September 25, 1976 in Libreville, Gabon, Africa.
His parents are Ngozi Gladys Okelue Esomugha and Stephen Okolue, the latter changed his surname to Esomugha. He hails from Ogugwu village in Ajidi town, Enugu, Anambra State, Nigeria.
Jim Iyke is the only boy among eight children. His sister is Natasha Esomugha.
He completed his secondary education from 1985 to 1991 at FGC Kwali Abuja.
Jim Iyke attended the University of Jos, Plateau State, where he obtained a Diploma in Banking and Finance and a Bachelor of Philosophy.
Profession
Jim Iyke started his acting career in 2001. He is one of the highest paid actors in the Nigerian film industry and has acted in over one hundred and fifty (150) films. In 2007, he founded a film production company, Untamed Productions.
Jim Iyke founded his own music label, Untamed Records. He produced his first album, Who Am I?, which featured top Nigerian musicians such as 2Baba and Sound Sultan.
One of the biggest controversies of Jim Iyke’s career was a controversial video showing him experiencing a so-called “redemption” at the Church of All Nations synagogue, led by Reverend TB Joshua, which went viral and sparked a heated debate on social media. The “devil” allegedly admitted that he was the reason why Jim Iyke could not get married.
Personal life
Jim Ike holds a black belt in Taekwondo. In April 2019, the Nigerian movie star announced the birth of his son, Havis Chidubem Ike, on his Instagram page, where he uploaded a photo in which he held the newborn baby boy in his arms.
He is married to Dana Kinduryte. They have one son named Harvis Chidubem Iyke.
In January 2021, Jim Iyke while speaking about his favourite artist in an online interview said that he prefers Davido over Wizkid.

Philanthropy
Jim Iyke, founder of the Jim Lyke Foundation for Children with Special Disabilities, visited Kenya in December 2012 to support the Make a Change campaign, a charity founded by Christopher Grey and Jamaican dancehall artist Ce’cile.
