Jordan Robert Romano, a highly skilled and successful Canadian athlete, was born on April 21, 1993 in Markham, Ontario, Canada. He was raised by loving parents, Cynthia and Joe Romano.
During his childhood and teenage years, Jordan grew up with his older brother Chris and two younger sisters Julia and Cassandra. Jordan attended Father Michael McGivney Catholic High School throughout his education.
Career
Romano excelled in a variety of sports, including baseball, basketball, football, and volleyball. Although he was not drafted immediately after high school, he decided to continue his education at Connors State College in Oklahoma. In his first season at Connors State, Romano went 0-1 with an ERA of 8.68 and allowed 14 strikeouts in 91 innings.
Romano transferred to Houston Baptist University after completing his freshman year at Connors State. During his time at Houston Baptist, he showed impressive skills on the field, posting a 14-5 record, a 3.75 ERA, and a remarkable 204 strikeouts in just 174 innings pitched.
Thanks to his stellar performance, Romano caught the attention of the Toronto Blue Jays, who selected him in the tenth round of the 2014 MLB draft. The Blue Jays were keen on Romano’s talents and offered him a $25,000 signing bonus, which he gladly accepted.
