Justin Timberlake found himself at the center of an unexpected viral moment this week following a recent concert on the singer’s ongoing World Forgot Tomorrow tour.
The 43-year-old pop star was performing at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena when a wardrobe malfunction involving his belt became a hot topic of discussion online.
A fan-shot video, which now has more than 6 million views on TikTok, shows Timberlake awkwardly adjusting his belt, which appears to draw attention to his groin area.
The incident occurred during his “Mirrors” performance, where the singer was suspended above the crowd on a train platform. Despite the wardrobe malfunction, Timberlake continued his performance like a pro, tugging on his shirt seemingly to cover that area. (Watch the clip below.)
Social media was quickly flooded with comments, with some fans making light-hearted jokes and others drawing comparisons to similar on-stage incidents, such as Daily mail report.
Chris Brown exploitation incident
Some users mentioned Chris Brown’s equally revealing exploit from earlier this year, while others took a bolder approach with comments like “Bringing back micro” like like the famous song “sexyBack” by Timberlake.
Timberlake has yet to comment on the incident, but of course this isn’t the first time his name has been linked to a very public wardrobe malfunction.
Indeed, some comments were quick to recall Justin Timberlake’s infamous 2004 Super Bowl performance with Janet Jackson, when he accidentally exposed Jackson’s breasts in what would later be known as “Nipplegate” – an event that had a lasting impact on Jackson’s career but largely saw Timberlake escape criticism.

More recently, Framing Britney Spears Britney Spears’ documentary and memoir have renewed discussions about Timberlake’s past actions, including his apparent treatment of Jackson and Spears. In fact, Timberlake issued a public apology in 2021, expressing remorse for perpetuating misogyny and racism, and privately apologizing to both women.
Timberlake is currently on tour to promote his sixth studio album, Everything I think is mewas released earlier this year.
