However, in an investigation conducted by the New Yorker, the former contractor revealed that West’s wife, Bianca Censori, told Saxon that the musician did not want any of the wood exposed, so he was allegedly instructed to paint over parts of the house. , such as cabinets, wardrobes and even marble.

One of the renovation plans was to add a foam slide to the house instead of stairs, and although the contractor was not involved in that project, Censori reportedly asked him to remove the foam.

During the investigation, Saxon revealed that he had negotiated a fee of $20,000 per week. However, he also agreed that additional funding would be provided to his colleagues and the budget to purchase new materials.

Unfortunately, the situation got out of control, and he and his group were subjected to intruders as they were forced to sleep on a mattress in a corner of the main floor even though the house was being renovated. .

West bought the property along with the mansion for $57 million in 2021. He tried to sell it for less than $4 million with the help of Jason Oppenheim.
