Kanye West reportedly intends to impart controversial teachings to students at his defunct Christian academy, Donda Academy.
Cecilia Hailey, a former teacher who is suing the musician and other former employees for wrongful termination, has drawn attention for details about her tenure at the controversial institution.
She revealed that West wanted youth to receive shooting training and military-style instruction following his troubling speeches mentioning Hitler and the Nazis in November 2022.
Speaking to The US Sun, Hailey reflected on the upcoming trial scheduled for next year, where she likened Donda Academy’s environment to a “zoo.”
In addition, she affirmed that when faced with Kanye’s excessive demands, there is only silence.
“He wanted the children to learn to march,” she said. He wanted all the kids to be taught how to carry a gun, how to shoot a gun.”
Hailey claimed she refused to teach third graders how to use rifles and said: “I got there pretty early when I first got there, I wanted to know how I felt about the kids learning to march and what it was like to mine about that”. the kids take gun and rifle classes.”
Hailey also expressed disbelief in Kanye’s “delusional” views.
“And I think that wouldn’t happen if I were here, that’s unacceptable, that’s not necessary and what does that have to do with education?” she said. “Teaching these kids to march, to be honest with you, I have Hitler-like feelings around it or really bizarre things.”
Additionally, Hailey raised concerns about the widespread problem of bullying in schools, saying she had observed students seeking refuge under desks during altercations while disciplinary measures were being taken. I think it’s still lacking.
“So you might see a fourth grader hitting a kindergarten or a first grader,” she said. “We had kids hiding under desks out of fear. It was a real mess. chaos”. “There are armed guards outside, but the children are not safe inside.”
Another educator revealed to The US Sun that she knows an individual that Donda Academy plans to bring in to instruct students in tactical and military techniques.
According to her account, this person was tasked with providing lessons in survival, hunting and camping in the wilderness, as well as firearms and shooting training.
Students’ participation in parades or rifle training at school remains a mystery, along with the knowledge of families being asked to sign NDAs.
