Katy Perry Unfazed by ‘Woman’s World’ Failure as She Continues World Tour Plans – Did Leaving ‘American Idol’ Backfire?

Katy Perry has not stopped trying to regain her place in the pop music industry.

A new report from The US Sun claims that Perry is gearing up for a global tour. The “I Kissed a Girl” singer is said to be “determined” to do so even after her comeback single “Woman’s World” failed to make a splash.

An unnamed source interviewed by the publication said, “Of course, seeing ‘Woman’s World’ fail like that is a blow, but people shouldn’t underestimate Katy. She’s a fighter and has overcome all the hardships in her career to become such a big star.”

The insider, who worked with Perry’s team in Las Vegas during her stay, shared more details about the upcoming world tour.

“Katy was hoping to tour across the US and then travel around the world for a big celebration that she was looking forward to. But now it’s taking a few weeks for everyone to consider those live plans,” the source explained.

“The live shows will happen,” the source said, but Perry and her team want to “make sure she’s performing in major markets and decide how she’s going to handle the international thing.” [markets]”

Perry is also said to “want to go out and show fans” [that] “Not only does she still sing live, but her back catalogue of hits is massive,” the insider added.

Perry’s “Play” show in Las Vegas is being hailed as the most entertaining superstar show to hit the Strip in recent memory, insiders say.

The newspaper’s source added that Resorts World is keen to have the “Dark Horse” singer return to perform in a new show, and many other venues are also interested in signing her.

However, if the deal goes ahead, it may not actually materialise until late next year, the source told The US Sun. However, Perry is said to be confident in his ability to recreate the same mesmerising experience again.

Perry’s seemingly uneventful musical return comes months after she announced her decision to step down as a judge on “American Idol.”

Responding to questions about Perry’s departure from the show, the source shared that the singer couldn’t resist the urge to move forward.

“Look, she could have gone another year and taken home $30 million in a familiar environment. But that’s not the nature of the woman,” they told the outlet.

The insider continued, “She’s still an artist above all else, who always wants to be creative and close to her audience.”
