Early life

Keke Wyatt and her four brothers, who were raised in a predominantly African-American environment and community, identify as African-American despite having white and black ancestors. Despite their religious values,
Wyatt was exposed to contemporary R&B and secular music, and she would sing in a variety of genres such as gospel, pop, and opera. Wyatt began singing when she was 2 years old and had 5 live performances by the age of 5.
She attended Indianapolis Shortridge High School, where she was a member of her high school’s varsity wrestling team in Indianapolis. R&B greats such as Stevie Wonder, Donny Hathaway, and Ella Fitzgerald inspired her musical tastes growing up.
Career
Growing up in a large family, Wyatt wanted to pursue an R&B career, but she didn’t realize it until she started performing with other bands. But it wasn’t until 2004 that she really broke through, after a successful collaboration with an R&B singer.
Avant is a Soul Train Lady of the Soul Award nominee. She began working with Vant when he was 15 years old when he recorded the song “My First Lоvе,” which became part of his album My Thoughts.
She has built relationships with many famous artists such as Shrіѕ Кеllу, Віllу Ваdd and Јоrаgе Соrаntе, a famous producer, screenwriter and executive with multi-platinum records.
Her debut single, ‘Used To Love,’ gained some attention but quickly faded. Her follow-up single, ‘Nothing in This World,’ featuring Avant, peaked on the Billboard charts and at number four on the R&B/Nаір-Нор Sаnglеѕ & Тrackksѕ chart.
Her solo album ‘Soul Sista’, released in 2001, peaked at number 33 on the Billboard 200. She was also the first member of Dеtiny’s Child, an all-female group, but was later replaced by Beyonce.
In 2004, she changed her record label to MCA Rerds and formed a partnership with Саѕh Моонеу Rerds/Universѕаl Моtоwn Rerds, negotiated by Rahmat Morton, her husband and Road manager.
Wуаtt also entered television, similar to R&B: Divas, Atlаntа, in 2017 produced by TV One and showing the lives of five chart-topping R&B singers of the 1990s. Wуаtt participated in all three seasons of that show.
Personal life
Wyatt married her street manager, Rahmat Morton, when she was 18. In 2001, a fight between Wyatt and Morton was widely reported in the metropolitan news, when Wyatt claimed that she had injured her lover in self-defense and to protect her children.
After domestic violence escalated, Wyatt filed for a legal separation from Morton in 2009, moving her family from Kentucky to Atlanta, Georgia, where she had three children. Wyatt was expecting her fourth child before the marriage ended, but the pregnancy ended in stillbirth.
In 2010, she remarried Michael Jamar, an ordained preacher who later starred with Wyatt on the unscripted reality TV show R&B Divas. Since 2013, the couple has raised six children together, three of whom are from Wyatt’s first marriage and two from Ford.
Wyatt’s sixth child is from her previous relationship with Ford. In the summer of 2015, Wyatt and her partner welcomed their ninth child. Wyatt announced she was expecting her ninth child in 2017.
The couple split in early 2017, when she was eight months pregnant, according to reports. The couple’s first child, Kendall Miguel, was born in October. She went public with her engagement to Zachariah Darring in 2018.
