Early life
Kenny Ogungbe was born in the commercial city of Lagos on September 10, 1970. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ogungbe, both of whom are originally from western Nigeria. He is Yoruba by tribe.
He lost his mother, Otunba Letticia Onojoke Ogungbe, at the age of 80. Her death occurred on a faithful evening in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
She died in the arms of one of her children and grandchildren, who confirmed her death. However, she was survived by her descendants, including her first child, successful banker and businessman, Director Moji Dokpesi, wife of Senior Director Raymond Dokpesi, Founder and Owner. President of Africa Independent Television (AIT).

Kenny Ogungbe works as a DJ, music producer, TV presenter and music executive. He collaborated with another media personality Dayo Adeneye also known as D1, as the host of a music show called AIT Jamz. This show, which aired on AIT in the late 1990s (which later became PrimeTime Jamz on NTA), made him quite famous.
The distinguished radio personality and record label executive rose from Assistant General Manager in 1993 to Executive Director in 2000. He is highly experienced and well known in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
Kenny Ogungbe also serves as CEO and co-founder of Kennis Music International and is a senior partner of Primetime Entertainment, Nigeria’s leading entertainment company. He helped revive Nigeria’s music industry, taking it to new heights while growing it.
He worked with, career-changed or discovered The Remedies launched the solo careers of Tony Tetuila and Eedris Abdulkareem, 2Baba (Then 2Face), Sound Sultan (produced his first two solo albums) and Oritse Femi, among others.
