Lady Gaga responds to former classmates who doubted her success.
The Grammy-winning artist has hit back at former NYU classmates for creating a private Facebook group called “Stefani Germanotta, you’ll never be famous.”
The singer, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, shared her thoughts on past adversity and current success in a recent TikTok post.
She recently revisited the memory by sharing a TikTok post that included a screenshot of a now-defunct Facebook group that targeted her.

The image shows a photo of the “Poker Face” singer marked with a large X.
“Some of my college friends used to do this back then,” the 38-year-old singer wrote in the post.
“This is why you can’t give up when people doubt or put you down — you have to keep moving forward,” she added.

The next slide features an image of Gaga holding the Oscar trophy, and the accompanying list details her impressive collection of awards, which includes a total of 13 Grammys, two Golden Globes, and 18 MTV Video Music Awards, among many other achievements.
Gaga decided to leave in 2005 and focus on her music and acting aspirations after briefly attending NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
At that time, she began to make a name for herself by performing at several venues in midtown Manhattan under the stage name Lady Gaga, a name she took inspiration from a song by the group Queen.
