Lalla Hirayama (born 10 February 1988) is a Japanese-South African television personality, actress, dancer and model. She is best known for being one of the five hosts of V Entertainment’s celebrity live news show on the DStv channel Vuzu.
She is also known for being a judge on South Africa’s Got Talent. She is also known for hosting a show called Lalla Land on M-net Movies.

Early life
Lalla Hirayama is a Japanese actress born in Hiratsuka, Kanagawa Prefecture, on February 10, 1988. She is the only child of a Japanese mother and a white father of South African Jewish descent.
She once revealed in an interview that she was raised in a traditional Japanese style. Her father was a sangoma.
She was born in Japan but moved to Australia and South Africa when she was about six years old.
Lalla Hirayama has previously revealed that she comes from many different religious and cultural backgrounds, such as Buddhism, Shintoism, Judaism, Christianity, etc.
Education
Lalla Hirayama began her primary education at Fairways Primary School in Sandton, Johannesburg. She participated in equestrian events in primary school and was named Junior Equestrian Champion in 1997.
She returned to Japan in 2001, at the age of 13, after completing her primary education. She studied modern dance, especially hip-hop. In 2002, she moved back to South Africa and enrolled at the British International College (BIC) in Bryanston, Johannesburg.

Career
Lalla Hirayama first made her official appearance on South African television at the age of 15 as a presenter on E-daily TV’s Craz-e kids time channel. Four years later, SABC1 announced Lalla Hirayama as a live presenter and brand ambassador.
She played the role of ‘Felicia’ in the E-prime TV drama series Rhythm City a year later. She also starred in the E-Axe TV series ‘Dark Angels’. During this time, she also debuted in a show titled ‘Scar Tissue’ on DSTV’s new channel Vuzu; she then joined the live primetime celebrity gossip show V Entertainment as a live host.
Lalla Hirayama was featured in the 2009 FHM calendar and was ranked 15th in FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women in the World in 2010. In 2011, she moved up to 14th in FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women in the World, she was also featured in the annual FHM Lingerie Festival and she continues to appear in the magazine monthly.
Lalla Hirayama has also been awarded the ‘Sexiest’ award from Glamour magazine, the ‘Most Innovative Style’ award from the South African Style Awards and the ‘Most Stylish’ award from the G4 Sports Awards.
