Lance Bass drops hints about an NSYNC reunion amid the release of a documentary about the new boy band

According to Lance Bass, an NSYNC reunion could be coming.

The 45-year-old male singer spoke up about the possibility of reappearing with members of the famous boy band of the 90s.

He told the Daily Mail, “I mean, who knows? I hope so! It’s amazing!”

Bass also released the documentary “Larger Than Life: Reign of the Boybands”, which reflects the current trend of documentary filmmaking on this topic.

“It’s crazy, there’s a lot of people making documentaries about it now. I made a film a year ago called The Boy Band Con and it was amazing to be able to do that,” he said.

He continued, “Really dissecting who he was and what we went through. A lot of people asked me to sit down, I said, ‘Yeah, I want to share my story.’ “

Bass added: “I haven’t seen this yet! I’ll watch it with everyone else, but I hear it’s an incredible document.”

Bass’ comments come after reports of Justin Timberlake “in active talks” joining NSYNC for a “huge reunion.”

According to a source who spoke to The US Sun last month, “The guys always knew a big reunion was coming, but with them all heading towards their 50s, the timing is important – especially if it is related to a performance.”

The source added that the band’s supposed aim is to unite and perform some of their classic hits, but implementation remains uncertain. Several ideas were said to have been considered, such as an exclusive one-off performance recorded for a documentary series, which could potentially attract a star-studded audience.

Another possibility is to take the project to an internet or streaming platform for wider distribution.

“They have written some musical ideas and have been given songs for a new single that could expand into a new album or expand on their biggest hits,” the insider continued. “Certainly, there’s a lot of love from the fan base that makes them interested in seeing their music make a big comeback for the new generation.”
