Lawrence Oyor Gomba grew up in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, the son of very religious parents who devoted much of their time and resources to church activities.
He has a twin brother, Godswill Oyor, with whom he currently works to impact the lives of many people.

Lawrence Oyor completed his primary education and attended Shalom Christian College, Ibadan, where he obtained his Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE).
He also attended the University of Ibadan and graduated in 2013. While in school, he was very fond of music and used his spare time to write lyrics and hymns. He also studied at the Nigerian School of Law, Yola Campus, and studied at the Texas Bible College until 2016, when he graduated with the highest honors.

Lawrence’s love for music began when he was a student in school. Due to his devotion to the Creator, he excelled in creating a type of music that inspired revival and deep worship. Titles of some of the songs and hymns he composed include: “Rowing the Boat”, “Falling in Love”, “I Love You”, “Bowl of Fire”, “Burning the World”, “Another Measure”, “Flight of the Eagle”, “Prophecy Hymn”, “Ahhh”, “Jesus My Lord”, “Glory and Power”, “I’m Hungry”, “Wine of the Holy Spirit” and “Moaning” to name a few.
He is also an evangelist who co-founded David’s Minstrels with his brother. Lawrence said the ministry aims to demonstrate the love and power of God by awakening the hearts of many to worship Him.
To date, Lawrence Oyor has traveled all over Nigeria and has impacted many lives with his style of music.
