Learn About HGTV Cristy Lee Biography, Married, Net Worth, Steal This House

HGTV star Cristy Lee is back! But this time she’s not fixing cars. Instead, she’s applying her unique talents to personalizing clients’ homes with custom amenities in a brand new show called Steal This House.

Learn more about her in HGTV’s Cristy Lee Biography.

HGTV Cristy Lee on new show Steal This House

HGTV’s Steal This House premiered on July 9, 2022, and it’s truly awe-inspiring to see automotive expert Cristy Lee working on homes—fabricating metal parts for fireplace surrounds and kitchen hoods, or repurposing wood to create a unique 3D map.

Another surprise Cristy has in store for her fans is the filming locations. Steal This House was filmed in Detroit, Michigan, including Canton, Royal Oak, and Grand Blanc, all near the Motor City. Previously, All Girls Garage and Garage Squad—the shows that put Cristy in the spotlight—were filmed around the Chicago area.

Steal This House isn’t the first HGTV show to feature Detroit homes, however. HGTV’s Bargain Block has also restored homes on Detroit’s west side. But that said, the show did include the Leland community for a while—something they regretted doing in the snow.

According to Cristy, Detroit is her “home” and she feels that her “roots run deep in this state for so many reasons,” both professionally and personally. “My adulthood, my professional career… it all happened here. I have Michigan to thank to Detroit for so many great things in my life,” she added.

Overall, she takes great joy and pride in helping homeowners (on a budget) see things “a little differently” through her experience in real estate and home improvement.

Eagerly awaiting the show’s premiere, Cristy shared on her FB, “I am so proud of this show and so grateful for the amazing production team, the incredible homeowners/clients (well done Tim and Melissa), the hardworking contractors, and those closest to me behind the scenes who have supported me along the way.”

HGTV Cristy Lee Net Worth

HGTV’s Cristy Lee boasts a net worth of approximately $2.5 million as of 2022.

This expert on all things cars and motorcycles began her journey after making a bold move from Daytona Beach to Detroit after college to invest in real estate. She then broke into the industry as a radio DJ and soon pursued her passion for motorsports and has been featured on FOX, NBCSN, ESPN, SPEED, ABC and CMT as a motorsports expert.

But her career really took off after she joined All Girls Garage as a host in 2017. Additionally, her popularity skyrocketed when she joined Garage Squad in 2019. Unfortunately, a year later, rumors spread that the show’s executives were trying to cut costs by removing Cristy from the show, and Cristy actually left the show that year.

However, Cristy also had an appendectomy in March 2020, so it’s possible she just needs to take a break from TV for a while to recover.

Prior to the shows mentioned above, Cristy has also appeared on screen in Celebrity IOU: Joyride (2021), Shift Talkers (2020), Best of Top Gear (2019), TORC: The Off-Road Championship on NBC Sports (2014), Tunnel of Fire (2013) and Wild On… (1997).

Prior to pursuing a career as a motorcycle expert, Cristy worked as a reporter at Olympia Entertainment, Greater Media Detroit – 101.1 WRIF, Gail & Rice, and Feld Entertainment.

Additionally, she is a talent manager for Powerful Image Productions and a brand ambassador for companies such as Kawasaki Motors Corp, Dana Incorporated, and Stanley Black & Decker.

Regarding education, she attended Daytona State College.
