Meet Malcolm Connolly, Johnny Depp’s bodyguard

Malcolm Connolly and Johnny Depp have known each other for over 18 years. In his testimony, Malcolm revealed that he had received gifts from Johnny. When it was pointed out that if he had received gifts worth nearly $8,500, Malcolm replied that he had given him more than that.

He also shared his loyalty to Johnny or anyone he worked with.

One of the highlights of his testimony was when the defendant’s attorney also asked Malcolm about seeing Johnny sticking his penis out trying to urinate in the lobby. Malcolm replied, “No.”

Testimony of Malcolm Connolly

Malcolm shared in his testimony, “Jerry Judge would accompany Johnny to Australia when he arrived, I would pick him up at the airport like we always did. Take him to the house where the accommodation was and I would turn left to go back to my apartment.”

Malcolm added, “Johnny will probably take about a week to get his makeup done before filming and that gives me time to run around some of the studio locations, check out the studio locations as well as be there if Johnny wants to go out for dinner in the evening anywhere, I will check out those locations as well.”

Speaking about the incident in Australia in 2015, what caught his attention was Johnny missing a finger. He and his security team lived about 40 minutes away from Johnny’s house. He explained that when he got to Johnny’s house, he noticed an SUV. As he got closer, he heard screaming and when he walked in, he witnessed screaming and yelling. But all he could see was Johnny.

Malcolm then asked Johnny to leave as part of his job. After two to five minutes, Malcolm took him out but Amber appeared out of nowhere, screaming and yelling at him.

Johnny got out of the car and went into the place again and the screaming started. This time he used force to drag him out of the place and put him in the car and locked the door. Malcolm took him to his apartment.

Malcolm explained that Johnny’s finger was injured and he could see the bone. When the doctor arrived, he was taken to the hospital to check the condition of the finger.

When talking about Amber Heard, Malcolm repeatedly described her as “crazy” and “violent”.

Malcolm testified from his home in the UK, saying, “At first [it was] Everyone was so loving. Everything was wonderful. The honeymoon was here, and it was wonderful. It was great to see Johnny happy again. Amber was lovely, charming – as usual – and good as gold.”

He added, “Amber started to change. Amber started to become a little more aggressive and demanding. I could see Amber wanting to wear the pants in the relationship. It was pretty obvious,” Hee said, adding that Amber “could get cold in an instant.” He said he observed Depp “becoming more quiet” as Amber “started to get cranky” over time. However, he said he never saw the two physically fight.
