According to the Daily Mail, people familiar with the situation said the model learned about the horrific incident when a member of her team was approached by a reporter.

An anonymous source told the Daily Mail: “She’s clearly in shock right now.”
The city’s ambulance service confirmed that Payne fell from the third floor of the Casa Sur Palmero hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, at around 5pm local time.

The injury was so severe that the male singer died on the spot and an ambulance was called just a few minutes after being picked up. A spokesman for the agency emphasized that the victim’s physical condition was “not suitable for life”.
Days before the young pop star’s death, the New York Post reported that Maya Henry had instructed her lawyer to send Payne a cease and desist letter because she believed the singer’s behavior closely resembled harassing behavior.
She alleged that he contacted her and her friends, including her mother, using various phone numbers and email accounts.
“Is this normal behavior for you?” she asked in a recent video.

Henry, who is promoting her debut novel “Looking Forward,” describes her relationship with Payne as complicated. And, as Henry himself admitted, created “problems”.
