Liam Payne’s ‘proud sister’ Nicola speaks out after her brother’s tragic death at the age of 31

Liam Payne’s sister Nicola has broken her silence on social media about the sudden death of her 31-year-old brother, One Direction star Liam Payne.

The “proud sister” wrote an open letter to fans on Instagram, where she insisted her brother was “too good for this earth” and declared her sibling an “angel” and hoped I hope my brother has finally found peace.

“When I saw the news pop up on my phone that you had left us I got chills, I so wanted this to not be true,” Nicola wrote in her lengthy post on Monday, October 21. ”. was a mistake and someone got it wrong.”

The late star passed away immediately after suffering multiple injuries when falling 10 meters from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Buenos Aires’ emergency services director, Alberto Crescenti, reported that medical teams were unable to save him.

ENSTARZ reported in 2021 that Payne admitted to suffering from severe “suicidal ideation” and had moments of “taking drugs and drinking alcohol” during his time with the beloved group, One Direction.

In an episode of the ‘Diary of a CEO’ podcast with Steven Bartlett, the star revealed that fame, alcohol and drugs took him to “rock bottom” when he was still with bandmates Louis, Zayn , Harry and Niall.
