Similar to Yakuza: Like a Dragon, the game features turn-based combat for all characters, each with a unique “job” or class that provides specific advantages. Kiryu’s special job, “The Dragon of Dojima,” lets him switch between different fighting styles to temporarily engage in real-time combat, similar to fighting games in earlier games.
The Poundmates summoning system returns, including characters like Shun Akiyama and Kaoru Sayama. Familiar mini-games like karaoke, darts, mahjong and arcade games including Virtua Fighter 3tb, Sega Bass Fishing and SpikeOut are back.

Yakuza: Infinite Fortune will be officially released on January 26, 2024 on multiple platforms, including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. In addition, the special trial version of the game is bundled with the spin-off “Yakuza Gaiden: The Man Who Erased the Name” and will be available to players after completing the main story on November 9, 2023.

“Yakuza: Infinite Fortune” was released in September 2022 during Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s Summit live broadcast, and was originally titled “Yakuza 8”. The announcement trailer showcases the voice acting of various game characters, with Ichiban Kasuga and Kazuma Kiryu in the lead roles. It is worth noting that Kiryu’s design is very different from previous looks, which has attracted people’s attention.
In early 2023, RGG Studio held a Cabaret Club Grand Prix to select models for the real-life waitresses in the Cabaret Club mini-game in “Yakuza Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name”. Grand prize winner, live streamer and VTuber Kson won the role of a game character named Kei in Yakuza: Infinite Fortune. Kei is a worker at the Revolve Bar, a designated hangout for player characters.
