Early life
Lira Mercer, commonly known as Lira Galore, was born in Houston, Texas to African-American parents; Terrence and Michelle Mercer. At the time of her birth, her parents were not ready for marriage and had problems raising her.
She was then abandoned by her father, who married a white woman, leaving her mother to care for her.
Lira Galore also spoke about her childhood days on a reality TV show in September 2016; she talked about how difficult it was to grow up without a father.
