Maia Sandu is a Moldovan politician, serving as President of Moldova since 24 December 2020. She is the founder and former leader of the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS), a pro-European political party in Moldova.

Early life and education
Maia Sandu was born on May 24, 1972 in Risipeni, Moldova. She is the only child of Emilia Sandu and Grigore Sandu.

Career
